Proposals · Part IV · Succession and legacy economics
The grant track
Philanthropy funds the full Fellowship and documentation for culturally critical dishes with no commercial successor, where no mortgage can work.
- PHILANTHROPY-FUNDED · WHERE MARKETS CANNOT REACH
Where a dish has no queue, no goodwill and no successor economics, its master still receives the full Fellowship, documentation and archive placement. Funding is philanthropic, joined by public heritage funding where Government chooses. This marks the boundary of the self-financing principle: the business carries succession where a business exists, and the endowment carries memory where it does not.
