Shape it, or stop it
This plan asks a lot of hawkers and diners. Both should shape it. Hawkers can stop it. Diners can hold it to account.
Why
The plan already says so. Nothing launches at a pilot centre until three things are true. At least 40% of its hawkers are willing to engage. At least 100 people across the cluster sign in support. A majority of the elected Hawker Council votes to proceed (§6.2). If a centre fails twice, the plan winds itself up.
Trust is earned the same way. People see the choices before anything is spent. The plan has to win their support, not assume it. And every correction makes it better.
How
- 1Sign up for updatesOne email when something real happens. Until there is a form, write to [email protected] and ask to be told.
- 2Tell us which stall and dish you would saveA name, a centre and a sentence on why. These stories show the Endangered Dish Registry (§3.6) where to start.
- 3Give to the endowment, once it existsA gift would be matched until the $10M matching pool is used (§7.6). Nobody is asked for money before then.
- 4VolunteerListening sessions at centres, stall visits, translation, data and design.
- 5Vote on the plan's main choicesLater, an open public ballot, held on a phone at the table where people eat. It is not open yet, and has no date.
